Startups are not built by products
Product is a medium through which a startup solves the problem, to achieve the greater vision
Finding a problem to fit your solutions is not the right way to build a startup. It’s actually the other way round.
A successful product has to be built around big problems.
With more advancements in technologies, a lot of founders are emerging who are looking to just put the technology to action to any problem that fits it.
This is a wrong way to approach.
Some of the best startups have been build by addressing core solutions towards an irresistible pain point of the user.
That’s how great products are built.
Here how you can build great startup products the right way:
Find a problem
Figure out if the problem is a real problem, Talk to users (Are there a large group of people facing this problem, or is it just you)
Now look for if the users are willing to fix this problem. (Figure out if your product is gonna be a Painkiller and not a vitamin, and if your customers are willing to pay for getting out of the pain)
Now build a hypothesis based on your interactions
Build a prototype to address a problem
Get user feedback on your prototype
Then build the product
This is a better way to approach building a product. I might have surely missed some steps but ideally, you should be building this way.
I hope you understand what it means to solve a problem and not just stuff your solutions to work towards solving a real problem.
